Chartered Financial Analyst Chicago Ill, Sam Simaan has been following capital markets since his adolescent years. He began investing and trading at the age of 18. Having graduated as high school valedictorian, Sam moved on to UNC-Chapel Hill, where he earned a B.A. in Economics in 3 years. He continued on to UNC-Greensboro, where he received an MBA.
Sam went on to work in commercial and corporate banking for the next 10 years, where he developed a keen insight into companies’ strengths and weaknesses. Starting as an analyst at RBC Centura, in Greensboro, NC, he moved on after two years to High Point Bank, in High Point, NC, where he took on responsibility for over half the commercial loan portfolio. Over six years at High Point Bank, he went on to supervise the underwriting department, and later, to working directly with commercial clients to meet their banking needs.
Sam currently lives in Chicago with his wife, Rebekah, and works at BMO Harris, managing a portfolio of corporate card debt. He is an accomplished musician and speaks Arabic, Spanish and French (with some rust thrown in). He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder.
